After a multi-day trial in Sumter County, Alabama, a jury returned a verdict awarding our client $3 million. Our client was struck and knocked to the ground by an individual who was operating an electric pallet jack. This resulted in serious, permanent injury to our client.
We alleged that the individual was not properly trained in accordance with the industry standards established by OSHA and other safety organizations and, as a result, failed to safely operate the pallet jack.
After deliberating for a short time, the jury returned a verdict awarding our client the $3 million we requested.
Rodney Miller, who served on the trial team, had this to say about the case:
- We are honored that our client trusted Methvin Terrell with his case. It is unfortunate that he is expected to live with pain for the remainder of his life, but we are grateful for the jury’s careful consideration of the evidence presented at trial and that justice prevailed for our deserving client.
Rodney Miller, Courtney Gipson and Brooke Rebarchak had the pleasure of representing our client at trial.
